Last year 4 Saint John girls joined team Manitoba at 16U Nationals, because Manitoba was short on players. For WPNB it was the first time that players attended on this level. Saint John is still building there youth teams and hopes to send a team of their own in the near future. Saint John was hoping to help team Manitoba again this year with some players, boys and girls, for 16U and 18U. Unfortunately for the 16U, Manitoba is only sending a boys and a girls team for 18U to play in the National Club Championship.
Erica Forgeron and Jillian Allan got an invitation from Manitoba’s Provincial coach Michael Reid to play for him again and round out his roster for the girls. Christopher Lavack from Moncton already played for team Manitoba in the NDPL and will also play for them at 18U boys NCC.
