The 14U team from Saint John traveled to Ottawa on Friday February 19 with 12 players to compete in the Ottawa Titans Cup held 19-21 February. The families of the Ottawa Titans club welcomed the Saint John players in their homes to help them save some costs. This was the first time that a 14U team from the Maritimes played a tournament outside Atlantic Canada. It was a great experience for the players. Although they didn’t win a single game, they played well and the highlight of the Tournament was the game against Guelph. After two periods in the game the score was 5-1 for the Guelph team. The Saint John team was able to fight themselves back in the game and ended with a score 5-5.
In between the games the team made a visit to Parliament hill. It was a great first trip.
